A SennzaFinne Field Guide to Las Vegas — Botanicals, Bold Moves & a Damn Good Distributor
Let's be honest — Las Vegas isn't exactly the first place you'd expect to find a couple of Seattle bartenders waxing poetic about foraged botanicals and the slow magic of Italian amaro tradition. But here's the thing about SennzaFinne: we've never been ones to color inside the lines.
We just wrapped an enlightening work trip to Las Vegas with our incredible distribution partner, [FRANCO WINE], and we couldn't keep all that good energy to ourselves. So we're doing what we always do: turning an experience into something worth savoring. Consider this your hybrid travel guide, trade trip recap, and love letter to the city that never sleeps — SennzaFinne style.
First Things First: A Massive Shoutout to FRANCO WINE 🏅
None of this happens without the people who believe in what you're building. [FRANCO WINE] has been more than a distribution partner — they're champions of small-batch, terroir-driven spirits, the kind of folks who actually get it when you try to explain why a Spring amaro smells like mossy Pacific Northwest rainforest and that's a good thing. This trip was a testament to what happens when the right people are in your corner, pushing SennzaFinne into new markets and new hands. We are endlessly grateful. Senza fine — without end — that's the kind of partnership we're talking about.
Where We Stayed 🏨
Las Vegas has no shortage of places to rest your head (or not — this is Vegas, after all). We stayed at [THE DOWNTOWNER], and honestly, it set the tone perfectly for the whole trip. [We loved The Downtowner. From the retro decor to the most fun you could have with hotel staff this place is a must stay! They have a little bar downstairs where everybody hangs out. We met so many cool people from all walks of life. This was a great place to come back to each night after a long day of work. We will definitely stay here again when we come back for our next work trip.
The Work Side of Things (Yes, We Were Actually Working) 💼
This trip wasn't just about fun and games — though there was plenty of both. We were here to move the needle on expanding SennzaFinne's footprint, and working side-by-side with the [FRANCO WINE’S] team gave us the chance to introduce our Gold-Medal-winning, seasonally-inspired amaro lineup to buyers and bartenders who had never crossed paths with a Cascadia-botanical-forward spirit before. Watching someone's face when they taste "Grassy Eden" for the first time — that bright, vegetal lovage-and-pea-shoot freshness — in the middle of the Nevada desert? Pure magic. That's what this work is all about.
Where We Ate & Drank (The Important Stuff)
Las Vegas has quietly become one of the most serious food-and-drink cities in the country. Don't let the buffet reputation fool you — there are bars out here pouring with genuine intention and chefs doing remarkable things. Here's where we found ourselves:
Dinner Worth the Reservation
We had a standout dinner at [ANIMA BY EDO]. [ We have been dying to go to dinner here since we found out they picked up our amaro through Franco Wine over a year ago. It of course was fabulous! We loved meeting the staff. Paulo and Tony took such good care of us. We even got to see Paulo ( the somm) present our Amaro to the table next to us, he then came by and explained to us just why he loves SennzaFinne so much. It literally brought tears to our eyes. It was a major highlight to the trip — we ordered the tasting menu. From the first bite which was the Kaluga Caviar & Eggs (oh my) what a treat, to the black sesame crème brûlée, everything was simply divine! It is the kind of place where you linger past dessert, which is exactly our kind of pace. Italians have a word for that: dolce far niente. The sweetness of doing nothing. Or, in our case, doing something — just slowly, with good company and a great drink.
Bars That Get It
A trip is only as good as its cocktail moments, and we found a few worth writing home about. First stop was [SKI LODGE] — [The Ski Lodge is located in the Cosmopolitan. It is a Ski Lodge themed bar ( hence the title) the atmosphere is just incredible here. It’s infectious, and you don’t want to leave. The cocktails are inventive, delicious and fun just to look at as well. We can’t wait to come back]. We also caught a nightcap at [VIKING MIKES], which is a phenomenal spot that is off strip. This Viking themed bar will just blow your hair back. The cocktails are life changing, the staff will make you want to move there so you can hangout there all the time. We did actually end up here twice for cocktails. We are excited to come back. The bar culture here is evolving fast, and it's exciting to see adventurous palates hungry for something with depth, complexity, and a real story behind the bottle. We went to many fantastic places this is just to name a few.
The In-Between Moments ✨
Not everything on a work trip is scheduled, and sometimes the best parts aren't. We ended our first workday at a spot called [JIVE TURKEY] This bar is super rad and, as if cracking up at the menu wasn’t enough, you can get your Polaroid taken and hang it on the wall as well, which, of course we were all over. We had some drinks and lots of laughs here. It was a great way to end our first day on the job. We will be back.
That's kind of how SennzaFinne was built in the first place: Joey and Gillian falling in love with amaro on a trip through Italy in 2013, a completely unplanned deep dive into a style of spirit that would change everything. Las Vegas has a way of doing that too — surprising you in the moments you're not looking for it.

Until Next Time, Vegas 🌵
Las Vegas has a reputation for being a place where people leave their inhibitions — but we left it with something better: new accounts, new connections, and a renewed appreciation for what we're building. SennzaFinne ("senz-uh-fee-nay") means without end — and that's exactly how we feel about this journey. The flavor never stops. Neither does the work.
If you want to explore SennzaFinne's full lineup — from the mossy spring brightness of Grassy Eden to the sun-drenched warmth of Golden Hour to the forever-botanicals of Always — head to sennzafinne.com or come find us at our Interbay distillery in Seattle. Book a tasting, build a cocktail, and let's talk amaro.
